You can purchase SHIB on several exchanges using their wallets, such as Binance, Coinbase, KuCoin, and Kraken, to name a few. You can also set up a MetaMask wallet and connect it to Shiba Swap, the exchange recommended (and created) by the Shiba Inu community https://alicanteweb.org/review/highway/.
Hot wallets tend to be a little easier to access and harder to lose since they tend to be on a frequently used computer or mobile device. They often take the form of a desktop client or browser extension, making them relatively easy to use.
Shibu Inu’s price experiences wide fluctuations, but the cryptocurrency is much less expensive than others on the market, so they are actually quite small. For example, from Feb. 27, 2024 to Sep. 4, 2024, SHIBs highest and lowest prices had a difference of $0.00000064. This means to experience any meaningful gains, you’d need to buy a tremendous amount of SHIB or conduct many successful trades.

Bitcoin is based on revolutionary blockchain technology, where transactions are recorded on a public distributed ledger and are secured by a decentralized network of computers dedicating their computational power to solving cryptographic tasks.
Bitcoin is the world’s most valuable cryptocurrency. It was created by an anonymous programmer, or group of programmers, under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. The value of Bitcoin has risen steadily since it was first introduced, and it has grown in popularity as well. Its actual value constantly fluctuates because Bitcoin trading is active 24/7.
Bitcoin introduced a type of currency (called cryptocurrency) that can be created and tracked on a public ledger (called blockchain), and which is not controlled by any central authority like a company or a country. Unlike with traditional currencies, everyone who can contribute the computational power needed to maintain this network will keep a record of every single Bitcoin transaction. In return, these participants will be able to gain Bitcoin by mining, which is the process of validating transactions being added to the ledger by solving complex puzzles. This is called the proof of work (PoW) consensus algorithm.
Nakamoto created the first Bitcoin on January 3, 2009. Bitcoin was initially mined among tech enthusiasts until the first trading markets for Bitcoin emerged in July 2010, with prices then ranging from US$0.0008 and $0.08. By then, Nakamoto transferred Bitcoin’s network alert key and control of the code repository to Gavin Andresen, who became lead developer at the Bitcoin Foundation.
The live Bitcoin price today is $103,466.90 as of 5/14/2025, with a 24-hour trading volume of $30,278,706,301. Bitcoin’s price is up 0.95% in the last 24 hours. Currently, Bitcoin ranks 1 out of 49429 coins according to CryptoMarketCap. Bitcoin has a live market cap of $2,055,317,798,475, a circulating supply of 19,864,496 BTC coins and a maximum supply of 21,000,000 BTC coins. Bitcoin’s protocol limits its supply, effectively creating a predefined monetary policy, and sets this limit at a total of 21,000,000 BTC. This is an amount that is yet to be reached, because Bitcoins are still being created as a reward for miners.
Pi network cryptocurrency
The project’s goal is to fix the centralization of first-generation cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin — which has given the top mining pools more control by allowing anyone to mine at no cost. By using just a mobile app and a referral code, you can receive digital currency in the form of Pi coins which can be saved until the crypto is listed on exchanges.
This is set to change with the launch of Open Mainnet. In February 2024, exchanges are preparing to list the free mining coin (initially OKX and Bitget) deposits are already live. Trading officially starts on Feb. 20, 2025.
Conversely, with cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, nodes must compete against each other to validate transactions. With Pi, the more nodes you invite to the network, the more rewards you receive for securing the network.

Pi coin (PI) is the native cryptocurrency that runs the Pi Network app. The network remains secure due to this coin. However, since the coin has not been listed on any exchanges, it currently holds no real value. Its value is pegged to its scarcity which is achieved through its regular mining reward halving.
